EHR change doesn’t end at go-live, and neither can education.

Clinicians face a constant stream of EHR updates, workflow changes, and new functionality, often layered onto already demanding clinical and administrative workloads. When education does not scale or align with real clinical workflows, frustration grows and adoption suffers.

This peer-led panel will be moderated by Dr. Stephanie Lahr, Chief Medical Officer at uPerform, and will feature Dr. Jarabek, Chief Medical Informatics Officer at M Health Fairview, alongside Dr. David Chestek, Chief Medical Information Officer at UI Health. Together, the panelists will share real-world experiences evolving EHR-focused education programs, highlighting incremental progress, common challenges, and lessons learned as organizations work toward more scalable and sustainable approaches.

Explore how clinical informatics and digital health leaders are moving beyond traditional classroom training toward more asynchronous, self-directed learning models, while also working to address the last mile of change through in-workflow learning and targeted change communication. Panelists will reflect candidly on what is working, what has fallen short of expectations, and how organizations at different stages of maturity are navigating these challenges.

The session will also explore early experimentation with AI-enabled support for clinician education. Panelists will discuss how their teams are actively evaluating accuracy, trust, and clinical appropriateness, including partnerships with internal research teams to formally validate these approaches and translate findings into publishable insights.

This session emphasizes practical, field-tested approaches alongside aspirational directions, offering attendees relevant takeaways whether they are just beginning to rethink education or further along in scaling enterprise efforts.
