Learning health systems (LHS) are often described through the lens of healthcare providers and academic research, but many learning cycles continue through commercialization and industry partners. This panel will explore how academia and industry can function in a broad learning ecosystem, while navigating distinct incentives, evidence requirements, and regulatory frameworks. By examining this multifaceted ecosystem and mapping the research cycles and incentive structures of each stakeholder group, we identify points of convergence and structural misalignment. Although priorities vary among stakeholders, a pathway exists toward greater coherence and collaboration through harmonized quality standards and methodological expectations. Realizing it requires coordinated effort across the learning ecosystem to unlock its potential for transforming healthcare decision-making and advancing patient outcomes.
