AMIA is developing a set of recognition programs and credentials designed to support professionals at every career stage, from students and early-career members to seasoned informaticians. AMIA Health Informatics Certification™ (AHIC™) offers experienced health informatics professionals a way to demonstrate mastery of health informatics knowledge and commitment to excellence in practice. This session will address what AHIC is, why it is increasingly important for practicing health informaticians and employers, who is eligible for AHIC, and how to become an AMIA Certified Health Informatics Professional™ (ACHIP™). For individuals, AHIC offers a pathway to advance careers, signal expertise to employers, and join a growing community of recognized leaders in health informatics.
