LU16: DEI to E2R: Empowerment, Engagement, and Representation at AMIA
Presentation Type: Level Up Session
Description
How do we move from statements of diversity, equity, and inclusion to lasting structures that empower, engage, and represent all members of the informatics community? In this session, members of AMIA’s Empowerment, Engagement, and Representation (E2R) Committee will share their perspectives on building a more inclusive professional home for informaticians across backgrounds, disciplines, and career stages. Panelists will discuss current initiatives, future priorities, and practical ways that members can contribute to shaping a culture of belonging within AMIA. Attendees will come away with insight into AMIA’s evolving approach and how they can help strengthen empowerment, engagement, and representation across the field.
