IPS12: Clinical Architecture - From Data to Practice: The Continuum of Clinical Quality
Presentation Type: Industry Partner Sessions
Presentation Time: 02:00 PM - 03:15 PM
Abstract Keywords: Interoperability and Health Information Exchange, Data Standards, Usability, Standards
Healthcare organizations are generating more data than ever, but its true value depends on how well it can be trusted and applied. Quality measures, population metrics, and clinical decision support are designed to evaluate the quality of care, and adherence to best practices drives better outcomes for patients.
Our panelists will explore how quality begins at the most fundamental levels—accurate data, well-defined clinical concepts, conformance to terminology and messaging standards, and mechanisms for trusted exchange. When these foundations are inconsistent or incomplete, the effectiveness of quality measurement, analytics, and decision support is compromised. The discussion will highlight how existing and emerging frameworks and technologies are addressing these challenges to create a continuum of trusted information that sustains both high-quality measurement and improved care delivery.
