Unlocking the Power of Nurse-Generated Data through Clinical Research Consortia
2025 Annual Symposium On Demand
Presentation Time: 08:00 AM - 09:15 AM
Abstract Keywords: Data Sharing, Nursing Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Governance, Information Extraction
Primary Track: Foundations
Programmatic Theme: Clinical Research Informatics
Artificial intelligence (AI) promises to transform healthcare, but its success hinges on large, high-quality datasets. Clinical Research Consortia (CRC) offer rich data sources, yet nurse-generated data—critical for comprehensive patient understanding—remains underrepresented. This panel explores the vital role of CRCs in AI development, focusing on integrating nurse-generated data, specifically flowsheets, care plans, and narrative notes. We will discuss strategies, challenges, and benefits of incorporating these data types to enhance AI models and improve patient outcomes. The panel aims to inspire collaborative efforts to maximize the value of nursing data in CRC-driven AI research.
