Presentation Type: Panel
Digital Innovations in Safety-Nets
Presentation Time: 08:00 AM - 09:30 AM
Abstract Keywords: User-centered Design Methods, Self-care/Management/Monitoring, Clinical Decision Support, Patient Engagement and Preferences
Primary Track: Applications
Programmatic Theme: Clinical Informatics
Digital health tools can greatly improve health outcomes, especially for those patients who are facing health disparities. However, safety-net settings often face organizational challenges in implementing digital innovations in their health systems. Moreover, patients face their own individual and structural barriers that further hinder access to and use of these tools. To ensure all patients can use these digital innovations to support their health, there is a need to design, adapt, and evaluate digital innovations so they meet patient needs and can be integrated into safety-net system workflows.
