2025 Annual Symposium On Demand
Presentation Time: 02:00 PM - 03:15 PM
Safety-net health systems, from large hospitals to community-based Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), provide vital care to millions of vulnerable Americans. While these diverse organizations share a common mission, they face both distinct and overlapping informatics challenges. Constrained resources, complex patient populations with significant social determinants of health, and the persistent digital divide create barriers to the effective implementation and use of health information technology. This panel brings together informatics experts from these front-line organizations to share success stories and lessons learned in using technology like electronic health records, telehealth, and data analytics to improve care. The session will also look to the future, exploring how innovations like AI and better data sharing can help close health gaps and strengthen care for everyone.
